Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. On most of those days it is open 8 amβ2 pm. Note that it does not open on Tuesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. More information is available on its website, koffeteria.com.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Just stopped by the Koffeteria near downtown. I love and appreciate that they use biodegradable cups that fold over. This alone made me want to come back. Add the delicious pastries and it's hard not buy a pay checks worth of goodies.

Ordered the βmake ya haloβ and a hot cappuccino with smoked horchata. Iced beverage was super refreshing, decent flavor but not super strong or clear. Cashier was super friendly & helpful it picking items. Loved outdoor seating.

Wonderful coffee and cafe with thoughtful pastries. Koffeteria in Houston was crowned the best bakery in Texas by The Takeout. Over a couple breakfasts everything I had was great. I especially liked the savory kolache, whose goowie mochi texture conyrastef delightfully with the crunchy, sweet topping. The cornbread's familiar yet exotic flavor was excellent too. Although they are justifiably popular, and you sometimes encounter a line, there are several counter seats, inside tables, and patio tables. There are a few free parking spaces across from the front door and more paid parking nearby.

The pastries here are deliciously executed and provide something different from the usual bakery. Highly recommend the chive and Chinese sausage if you're looking for a savory biscuit that's a little crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pistachio Baklava croissant is another must have, loved the bread and the toppings. The make ya halo coffee was good but a little watered down. Not much sitting inside but seating available outside as well.

This place is a great spot for coffee. They're also known for their pho kolache! The pho kolache was very tender and the bun/pastry was very soft and puffy and not necessarily traditional. But it was very good nonetheless. It does have a bit of a saltier taste to it but it was very good! The cortado coffee I got came in this neat cup when having it for dine in. It was also very good. This place is quiet and you can study or do work or enjoy a nice sip or meal in peace here. The staff is super nice and friendly.
